Welcome to My ALS Walk Page
Thomas Family
Thank you for visiting my ALS United Walk fundraiser page. The ALS United Walk raises funds for local patient care programs and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
I am walking with and in support of a close family friend. He is a down to earth, caring man who loves his family and has been bravely battling ALS for a while. He played and coached hockey for many years so the team's name is Puck ALS. His wife, family and our community have rallied around him, which is so inspiring to see.
If you feel moved to donate towards this good cause I would be grateful. If not, your well wishes for our success and prayers for this family are appreciated. Thank you!
