We Are Bob’s Bullpen — Walking for a Cure
In July 2023, our father, Bob (“Bkells”), was diagnosed with ALS. Since then, we’ve been walking one of the hardest paths our family has ever faced. There are no words to describe the heartbreak of watching someone you love battle this devastating disease.
But through it all, one thing has never changed—our love and unwavering support for our dad. He’s always #1 in our hearts, and we want him to know that he is not facing this fight alone.
We are his Bullpen.
It’s only fitting that as baseball season rolls around, we rally behind the man who passed down his love for the Phillies and Philadelphia sports to all of us. That passion has been part of our family since day one—and now, as he faces the toughest opponent of his life, we’re here, the strongest bullpen he could have, ready to back him up.
Our mission is simple, yet powerful:

And to one day help find a cure—so no one else has to endure what ALS brings to a family
ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs a person of their ability to walk, speak, swallow, and eventually, breathe. The average life expectancy after diagnosis is just 2 to 5 years. ALS can strike anyone. Today, there is no known cause or cure.
That’s why I’m walking—to change the statistics.To bring help and hope to those living with ALS.To make sure no family ever has to hear the words:“You have ALS.”
As a daddy’s girl my whole life, I walk for the man who loved me first—my Dad.
