Crushin it for Holly
My wife, Holly, ended her 7 year journey with ALS earlier this year. Not only was she the love of my life, but she was also one of the kindest and most competitive people I ever met. Those traits shined through throughout our ALS journey.
Holly drew upon her competitive drive to not allow this horrible disease to break her. She fought every day to make the journey easier for those surrounding her. Holly's relentless care for others and kindness was even more amazing. She always wanted to talk about what was challenging others rather than the challenges she was facing daily.
Simply put, Holly Crushed It!!
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this terrible disease.
