Thank you for supporting my ALS United Walk fundraiser! The ALS United Walk raises funds for local patient care programs and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.

That's why I'm walking. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: "You have ALS" again.

The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.

But we can't stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.

As you know, my brother John died from ALS in 2022. He is greatly missed! ALS took his life very quickly. He only lived a little over a year after he was diagnosed. Please help me in supporting this worthy cause and having a fun time at the beach too!

John Huber lost his battle with ALS in 2022. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form ALS in 2021 and passed away only a year later. My maternal uncle and Godfather grew up in Elkins Park, PA near Philadelphia. He was a sweet, kind, funny, and caring. man. He was dedicated to his career as mechanical engineer and enjoyed a beautiful life with his wife and two daughters. His passions included walking, hiking, building model trains, home renovations, weekends with family, watching and attending Philadelphia sports going to events. He was so much more than this disease. He was a great son, brother, husband, father, cousin, uncle, and great-uncle that will be missed by many.
