In Honor of Hob
Thank you for supporting our ALS United Walk fundraiser! The ALS United Walk raises funds for local patient care programs and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
ALS has recently had a profound impact on our family with the loss of my amazing father-in-law, Hob. We walk in his memory, and with the hope that we can help to raise money for the development of better treatment options or even a cure for this terrible disease; to bring help and hope to those living with the disease, as well as their loved ones. Please consider walking with our team, The Hob Mile, or sponsoring us. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
