I am the Team Captain for Friend of Mike Coffey . My brother Michael lost his battle with ALS in 2010. The ALS Association was extremely helpful with his needs, supplys and resources. Michael participated in the very first walk and continued until his passing. The happiness that the walk brought to him was a blessing to see. He was able to see friends, family, stroll the boardwalk, be out in the ocean air and felt apart of something. Since his passing I have participated as Team Captain, I want to keep his memory alive. Unfortunately , as time goes by I am the only person on his team. In addition, I  would like to honor J.T. Williams ( Ocean City's Santa Clause) our cousin , who passed in June 2023. J.T. was great help to Michael and myself ( being a caregiver), he was only a phone call away. Anything from making phone calls, stopping at the market or just stopping by to visit and my favorite a peaceful, kind heartfelt talk.
