The ALS United Walk is November 9 at Citizens Bank Park.  This year our Team, Mike?s Minions will be walking in memory of Mike who we lost in May, 2024.  In memory of Mike?s courage and strength.  In memory of Mike?s pledge to support the ALS United Mid-Atlantic and their efforts to make the lives better of families dealing with ALS, and their efforts to spread awareness of the need for a cure.  For all the ways they helped Mike and our family through our most difficult days, we will be forever grateful. 

 

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
