Thank you for supporting my ALS United Walk fundraiser. Your support is more than a donation, it’s a lifeline for people living with ALS, a spark of hope, and a step toward a world without this devastating disease.
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a cruel, relentless disease that slowly takes away the things we often take for granted: the ability to walk, to speak, to swallow, to breathe. Most people diagnosed live for just 2 to 5 years. ALS doesn’t discriminate, it can touch anyone, at any time. And right now, there is no known cause and no cure.
I chose to walk to honor my grandfather. Joseph Santonastaso was a strong and brilliant man. He never stopped working for what was his. His strength and work ethics has shaped our family in who we are today. When he was given just a year to live, we witnessed what this terrible disease brings. We hope with what we raise, we can make a difference and find a cure to end this disease.
The past several years have brought real progress: breakthroughs in research, expanded care, and laws that help families living with ALS. But progress alone is not enough. Every step we take together brings us closer to a cure, and closer to changing lives right now.
Please walk with me or sponsor me. Every donation, every step, every act of support sends a powerful message: we will not give up. Together, we can bring hope where there is fear, and light where there is darkness.
ALS may be relentless, but so are we.
