In the memory of Nabila Ramadan (Mom) on her Birthday..
This event takes place 1 day after my Mom’s Birthday..She would have turn 81 years old but she’s forever younger after we lost her to ALS 26 years earlier!
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a cruel, relentless disease that slowly takes away the things we often take for granted: the ability to walk, to speak, to swallow, to breathe. Most people diagnosed live for just 2 to 5 years.
Mom left in 10 months!
I’m walking because I refuse to accept this reality. I’m walking for the families who watch their loved ones fade too soon. I’m walking for the moments stolen by this disease and for the hope that we can one day give them back. I’m walking so that no one ever has to hear the words, “You have ALS,” without knowing that the world is fighting with them.
The past several years have brought real progress: breakthroughs in research, expanded care, and laws that help families living with ALS. But progress alone is not enough. Every step we take together brings us closer to a cure, and closer to changing lives right now.
Please walk with me or sponsor me. Every donation, every step, every act of support sends a powerful message: we will not give up. Together, we can bring hope where there is fear, and light where there is darkness.
ALS may be relentless, but so are we.
