Welcome to My Personal Page
Thank you for supporting my ALS United Walk fundraiser for my dad, Joe Mihalka! My dad was diagnosed with ALS in October 2022, and unfortunately, he lost his battle with the disease in January 2025. His fight against ALS was nothing short of inspiring, and he faced each day with grace and courage. The ALS United Walk raises funds for local patient care programs and helps spread awareness about the urgent need to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that gradually robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with ALS is just 2 to 5 years. ALS can strike anyone, and currently, there is no known cause or cure.
That’s why I’m walking—to change the statistics, to bring hope and support to those living with the disease, to honor those who have lost their battle, especially my dad, and to ensure that no one ever hears the words, "You have ALS," again.
The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care, and legislation that has positively impacted the lives of people with ALS and their families.
But we can’t stop now. The key to finding a cure begins with you.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.
