Philadelphia ALS United Walk

Kirkin' It

Team Kirkin' It walks in memory of Roger Kirk, who passed away from ALS in 2015. We promised Roger we would continue to fight and fundraise for ALS even though we knew a cure would not be found to help Roger. This is our motivation every year to continue participating in this walk and supporting this organization.

Team Kirkin' It is participating in the Philadelphia ALS United Walk for the 12th time this year. This is the tenth walk without Roger, but every year, you can still feel his presence on that day. Whether that is seeing old friends of his walking with the team, a story being told about the good memories with Rog, or watching his grandkids bring a whole new joy to the Kirk family.

We want to thank you so much for your continued support for this team, this cause, the Kirk family, and especially for Roger.

We hope to see you on Saturday, November 16th, at 10:00 AM EST at Citizens Bank Park.

Love always,

The Kirk Family

Maryanne, Tim, Kayla, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Joey, Andy, Jenny, Sean, Diana, and all of Roger and Maryanne's grandkids

ABOUT ALS
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.

ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
