Throw for HOPE: Bags for ALS Cornhole Fundraiser
Join us for a family-friendly, fun-filled Cornhole Tournament
raising awareness and funds to support ALS United MidAtlantic!!
This event is being held in memory of
Jimmy Scalleat and Roy Koch
both cherished and prominent members of our community who lost their courageous battles with ALS. Jimmy was a beloved husband, father, and friend with deep roots in the community as a longtime local restaurateur. Roy, an adored husband, father and grandfather, was a Vietnam Veteran who continued to exemplify his dedication by serving veterans throughout his life.
We are honored to be putting this fundraiser on in their memory. The money that we raise will go towards a mission that we can all get behind - a world without ALS.
There is currently NO cure, and that is just unacceptable for a disease with a life expectancy of 2-5 years.
Funds raised will go towards:
- Continuing the 150+ research projects looking into the causes of ALS in hopes of developing better treatments
- Supporting patient services clinics, support groups, equipment lending, and transportation
- Leading the way in helping to ensure the ALS community has proper access to care
This event is being held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at:
