Welcome to Heather Cox Foley's Personal Page
When my father was diagnosed with ALS in 1999, he was able to have ramp made to get out of his home. Nothing made my dad more upset than knowing PALS (persons with ALS) could not get out of their homes due to the lack of funds to afford a ramp. This inspired my father and our family to create a fund to help those who could not afford these upgrades. The Cox Family Fund was created in 2000 dedicated to providing accessibility needs. Five years ago, to honor the 20th anniversary of his passing in 2001, I completed a bike ride to raise money to help depleting funds. It has now been 25 years, and it is time to replenish again. I am still able bodied to help those that are not. I will be biking 552 miles in 66 days beginning on my Dad's birthday on March 31, ending on June 5. (well, will have to finish before: Tyler and Jess marry on the 6th!! :)
Please support me in this ride.

Funds raised will go to the COX FAMILY FUND for accessibility needs.
The 552 days is the number of days my father had ALS. 66 days is the number of days of the bike ride between March 31, his birthday, to June 5, his death date.
ALS is a devastating disease with no cure and a life expectancy of just 2–5 years. That reality makes the work of ALS United Mid-Atlantic more urgent than ever, and your support makes a real impact.
