Do it for Daisy!

Thank you for visiting my page, your support means the world to me and our family.

My mom was born in Slovenia and given the name Marjetica which when translated means Daisy. It was also nominated to be the name that her six grandchildren lovingly call her. 

My “Do it for Daisy” fundraiser is to support the ALS community as they deal with the daily challenges of navigating this debilitating disease. All proceeds raised will support the ALS United Mid-Atlantic whose tireless work helps with the financial and emotional needs of the ALS patient and their families. Every dollar donated will bolster a number of their efforts, including but not limited to, financial grants to provide in-home care, a durable equipment loaner closet and emotional support and guidance through a network of ALS social workers.

So please join me in my fundraising effort with the goal of providing much needed financial support and emotional comfort for those with ALS and their families. The funds raised are specifically earmarked to support the ALS United Mid-Atlantic in-home care grant program as many exhausted care givers work full-time and desperately need help caring for their loved ones. In-home care insurance coverage is woefully inadequate and finding good, affordable care is extremely challenging. Your donation will help provide these families with much needed support.
